Perfume Bouquet & Love’s Kiss Wall Decor Art
Hi, Friends! I hope you’re having a beautiful day! Today, I’d like to share with you these 2 Wall Decor/Art that, I’ve created for my Makeup Corner. To make them I used 2 oversized stamp sets by Colorado Craft Company from their Big and Bold collection. So, without further ado, please keep on reading below for the step by step on how I’ve created them ↓
To begin with, I started by trimming with my paper trimmer 2-10X10 inch watercolor paper pieces. Next, I placed 1 out of the 2-10X10 inch watercolor pieces inside the stamping tool. Then, I placed a little above from the center the lips image from the Love’s Kiss Stamp Set.
Once, I had in place the image I started the stamping. To stamp the lips, I used 5 different color ink pads because, I wanted to create a gradient effect. The ink pads that I used are from; the Color Crush Ink Pads collection by The Stamp Market. To create this Pink/Coral/Red gradient effect first; I stamped the images with Blush Pink. Soon after that, I realized that didn’t like the look from the stamping because… the ink pad was printing lines on the lips so, to avoid that, I decided to attach the Tool ’n One Brayer Tip to my Tool ‘n One.
NOTE: I’d like to mention that there’s nothing wrong with the Ink pad. The reason why I did not like the stamping at first was; simply because due the size of the image was kind of difficult to cover the entire image with one impression without noticing the edges from the ink pad. So, that’s the reason why I used the Brayer to soften the edges up.
Once the tip was attached it was so much easier to pick and transfer the colors with it. So, to continue with the colors after the Blush Pink, I started the gradient effect from the center to the outline in the following order; Bubble Gum, Peach, Coral Reef and Cherry Lips. Lastly, after the lips stamping was done. I stamped underneath of them with Black ink a sentiment which by the way is also included in the stamp set.
As an extra step, I added lots of Embossing Powder Tool over the stamped images, and I stamped them once again with Embossing Ink 2X because, I was going to add Clear Gloss Embossing Powder. Right after stamping, I added the clear embossing powder, and I heat set the images using my Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted. Finally, after the heat embossing, I placed inside of a white frame the Textured/Glossy image. Looks good, isn’t it?
For the second example, I placed inside the stamping tool the second 10X10 inch watercolor piece. Next, I added lots of embossing powder to it before, I placed the floral perfume bouquet image from the Perfume Bouquet Stamp Set. Then, I stamped the image with Versafine Onyx Black Ink 3X (for a clean and better result.) Soon after that, I removed the large image out from the stamping tool, and I stamped 2 sentiments; 1 inside the bottle and 1 underneath the large image (as shown above)
Right after the stamping, I removed the watercolor paper piece from the stamping tool, and I added clear gloss embossing powder to them. Lastly, I heat set the images until the powder was completely melted.
Once, I was done with the heat embossing, I decided to watercolor the image. To do that, I mixed a few colors from my Derwent Watercolor Paint Set to create the hues that I was looking for. As you can see, I kept it simple by achieving soft Peachy-Pink and Olive Greens hues. Honestly, nothing too crazy as, I am not an expert when comes to water-coloring.
So, after the color pallet was achieved, I set it aside while I temporally adhered the watercolor paper to a clipboard. With my watercolor and stamped paper in place, I started a very losely and imperfect water-coloring.
After, I was done water-coloring the flowers and leaves. I water-colored the bottle. To do that, I used a Pinky-Gray and Yellowish-Brown hues to cancel the natural color from the paper (by the way, I created those as well with the same colors from the pallet) Last but not least, I added a touch of shine to the bottle. To do that, I used my QoR watercolor in Gold.
Finally, after my water-coloring was done and dry. I placed it inside the frame, completing that way both of my 2 Wall Decor Art Frames.
That’s all for today friends as, you can see in the picture above they’re simple yet, modern in my opinion. I hope these frames inspire you to give them a try! I see many companies creating oversized stamps and stencils just like the one that I recently used from Simon Says Stamp. So, don’t waste that beautiful images by cropping it out so, let’s create more frames together! That being said, below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
