Love is in the Air cards
Hello Friends and Happy New Year. Today I’m so happy for being able to share with you these beautiful cards that I created with the new released Bobbi the Bear Stamp Set + Bobbi the Bear Crafting Die, Sending Love Crafting Dies and the Love is in the Air stamp sets by Technique Tuesday. After all the holidays cards, I’m so happy to start the 2019 with Birthday and why not? Valentine’s cards. So let’s get started!
To begin with, I started by stamping the heart balloons from the Love is in the Air stamp set using a copic friendly black ink in a white card panel, and I colored them with R29, R37 and R39. I hope you can see, that I also added a little bit of shadow around of them by using N0. Next I die cut the words Sending and Love from the Love Crafting Dies out of red cardstock, and I adhered them with liquid glue to the card panel. Then I tied a bow out of silver string just to add a little bit of embellishment to the balloons, last but not least I used a white gel pen to add high light to the red balloon as you can see in the picture above. To finish it up I adhered the card panel that I had created from different cardstocks to an A2 side folding white card base.
For this card, I started by stamping in a white card panel the hot air balloon from the Love is in the Air stamp set with the same black ink as I was going to color it with copic markers. The colors that I used were R20, R22, R29, R37, R39, E13, E15, also I added a little bit of shadow around by using N0. After I finished the coloring I stamped the sentiment from the same stamp with black ink. Then I adhered a few clear sequins around the hot air balloon, and I used the white gel pen to add highlights to it. Last but not least I adhered the card panel that I created by using a combination of red and black cardstock to an A2 side folding white card base.
For this example I created a landscaping Birthday card, so for this card I started by stamping the bear from the Bobbi the Bear stamp set with black ink in a Bristol smooth card panel, as I was planing to do some ink blending with the distress oxides inks. Next I masked the bear and I used Tumbled Glass to create the sky, Ground Espresso, Vintage Photo and Antique Linen distress oxides inks to create the ground. as you can see in the picture above. After I finished the background I used copic markers to color the bear in the colors E00, E11, E13 and E15. For his cheeks I used RV02 and RV04. For his nose I used 110. Then I used the same colors that I used for his cheeks to color the gift. Last but not least I colored the ribbon part of the gift with a gold gel color pen, and I stamped with black ink one of the sentiments from the same stamp set. To finish it up I adhered the backed to the card panel to a piece of Navy cardstock, that I had previously adhered it to the top folding A2 size white card base. As my very last step (completely unnecessary) I wrapped around a piece of rose gold string that I finished it with a bow in one of its ends.
For the 4th example, I created an encouragement card by stamping the Airplane, and one of the beautiful sentiments from the Love is in the Air stamp set with black ink in a piece of Bristol smooth card panel. For this card I used the same Tumbled Glass distress oxide to created the whole Sky background, of course I did mask the airplane the I colored right after I finished the ink blending with copics in the colors N0 and N2. As this was a pretty simple card, after coloring the plane I used R37 and R39 to color the hearts. Then I adhered the backed of the card panel to a Navy cardstock piece that I had previously adhered to the top folding white card base. Last but certainly not least I added clear sequins to add a little bit of shine.
For the last example, I created a clean and simple card by combining and stamping with black ink the balloons from the Love is in the Air stamp set + the bear and the sentiment from the Bobbi the Bear stamp set. Although for this particular card I used the coordinated Bobbie the Bear Crafting Die to die cut the bear. Then I colored the balloons with the same red color combination that I used for the first card, also I used the same color combination that I used in the third card to color the bear. Pretty simple Uh? As I was going for a white on white, I adhered the backed of the card panel to a side folding A2 size white card base. But before inlaying the bear back to where I die cutting it, I adhered a piece of fun foam that I die cut it by using the die. Just to add a little bit of dimension. Last but not least I adhered some clear sequins to add a little bit of sparkle.
