Love you + Thinking of you cards
Hello crafty friends, Today I’d would like to share with you these Love you/Thinking of you cards that I created featuring - Love you & Bloomin’ Cute dies along with the Flower Power background stamp all by The Stamp Market. These cards were pretty simple to make. So let’s get started!
To begin with I started by inking it up both of the card panels that I used for these cards in Bristol Smooth paper with the same combination of distress oxides colors. So I started by inking it up from the bottom to the top with Spiced Marmalade, Festive Berries and Worn Lipstick. Once they were inked up I let them dried up for a few minutes, in the meanwhile I ran in the die cutting machine all the white pieces that I was going to use for the other cards by using pieces of white card stock along with the Love you and the Bloomin’ Cute die. As I was planning on making two cards at once, I used the inlay technique. For the first card I used the negative of the inked background as my card panel as you can see in the picture above. Then I inlaid it with the white die cutting Love you.
*For all four cards I used A2 size white side folding card bases.
For the second card I adhered the white negative card panel, that I had leftover from the first card to the card base with liquid glue, and I inlaid the inked Love from the previous card. For both cards I added a little bit of dimension by die cutting the love out of white fun foam and by adhering it in between the card base and the letters.
Here you can see both cards side by side, nothing fancy but yet pretty Clean and Simple!
For the next two card I stepped up by white heat embossing both of the card panels and stamping a little sentiment with the same color inks.
For the first card I white heat embossed the inked background, and I adhered it to the white card base. I complimented the card panel by adhering the white bloom that I had previously die cutting out of white card stock in the center on the card panel. Next I stamped a sentiment in a piece of white card stock with Festive Berries to compliment the ink colors in the background, and I adhered it to the card panel. To finish it off I added a jewel right in the center of the bloom.
For the second card I white on white heat embossed the background, and I adhered the card panel to the white card base. However for this card I did colored the bloom by using the same colors from the previous cards, although I incorporated a fourth color as I wanted a touch of green for the leaves. And for that I used Mowed Lawn to inked them up along for stamping the sentiment.
