That being said, please keep on reading the blog post as I’d love to share with you the two cards that I made featuring the Inspired Dragonfly Stamp & Die Set

To begin with, I started by stamping with embossing ink the dragonfly from the Dragonfly Stamp Set creating my own card panel pattern. Once the stamping was done, I applied white embossing powder covering the stamping, and I heat set it with the heat embossing gun tool. Right after when the heat embossing was done, I inked it up the card panel with Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink. For the inking part, I was very light hand because I wanted to create a gradient softer look from the bottom to the top of the card panel. Right after the inking, I wipe the excess of the ink that was seated on top of the white embossing with a dry cloth, and I trimmed the edges of the card panel a little smaller than a regular A2 size card panel. Finally, I adhered the backing of the card panel with foam mounting tape to an A2 size side folding white card base, and I set it aside. In the meanwhile, I gold heat embossed a sentiment from the same Dragonfly stamp set in a decorative white cardstock piece from my stash, and I adhered it to the center of the card with double-sided tape. Also, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Dragonfly Crafting Die to die-cut the actual dragonfly as you can see in the picture above. (By the way this die has two layers so I die-cut the bottom layer from vellum for a settle look.) To finish the card off, I adhered the center of the dragonfly next to sentiment, and I added shimmer to the vellum part for a shimmering look.

For the second card, inked it up the card panel with the same Picked Raspberry distress oxide ink. However, I was heavy hand, yet I still created the gradient look in the background. Next, as soon as I was done with the inking, I added a few splatters of water to create the oxidized effect. Right after the inking process I finish the card panel off by adhering the dragonflies that I had previously die-cut by running thought the die-cutting machine the top layer of the dragonfly die, and pieces of white cardstock. As for the card embellishment, I adhered in the center of the card panel another decorative piece of white cardstock from my stash along with the sentiment that I had previously gold heat embossed in one of the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies which I adhered on the side of the car panel with foam mounting tape for extra dimension. Finally, to finish the card off, I trimmed the edges of the card panel a little bit smaller than the card base, and I adhered it to an A2 standard size top folding white card base.

As a finish touch, I decided to add a few clear pink sequins here and there for a sparkly look.
