Hugs Greetings Card

Hugs Greetings Card

Hey friends, welcome back to my blog! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you how I’ve water colored this floral card using; HUGS stamp set by The Gray Muse. So… without further ado, please keep on reading below ↓

To begin with, I started by treating one Strathmore Bristol Smooth panel with Embossing Powder Tool. Once, the card panel was treated, I stamped the floral images with Embossing Ink. Right after the stamping, I cover the entire floral cluster with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder and I heat set it with Heat Embossing Gun Tool.

Soon after the heat embossing, I water colored the flowers with a mix of coral and pinks hues that, I create by mixing some of the colors from my Derwent Inktense Paint set. As you can see, I also mixed a combination of green and yellow hues for the leaves. The colors were also from the same watercolor set. Once, the water coloring was done, I set the image aside to dry. In the meantime, I ran through the die-cutting machine an embossing folder along with a white card panel because, I wanted to add texture to the card panel. So, as soon as the card panel was dry embossed, I trimmed the edges slightly smaller than an A2 size card base and I adhered its backing to a top folding light gray card base with thin foam mounting tape.

By the time that I was done with the card base the water colored images was already dry so, I fussy cut the entire image out of the white card panel. Lastly to add dimension, I adhered the backing of the floral cluster to the card panel with foam mounting tape and, to finish the card off, I added Studio G Glitter Glue to each of the letters for a sparkly touch! With that being said, I hope this Sparkly card inspire you to give this simple yet, fun design a try!
