Hand Drawn Wreath┃Inspiration Card

Hand Drawn Wreath┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends!!! Today, I’d like to share with you this quick and simple hand drawn “Wreath Card” that, I’ve water-colored with Green and Coral hues. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by transferring one of my sketched wreaths from my sketchbook over a 5X7 size Strathmore Watercolor Card Panel with a Faber-Castell Graphite Water-Soluble Pencil.

Once, I’ve got the wreath transferred to the watercolor card panel, I placed the card panel over the Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface, and I secured it with the magnets to stretched the paper to avoid warping. Therefore, after the card panel was secured into place, I water-colored the larger images of the wreath with a cool Green hue and the leaves with a warmer Green hue. So, after I’ve had the greenery water-colored in, I water-colored in the buds with a Coral hue, and last but not least after I was done water-coloring in the buds around the wreath, I used a 000 size watercolor brush to add a touch of Brown hue for the branches.

So, after I was done water-coloring the wreath I set it aside so it could get dry. Then, after I had waited a few minutes for the wreath to be dry, I placed the card panel inside my stamping tool and I added lots of Embossing Tool Powder, and I’d got a sentiment gold heated emboss right in the center of the wreath. By the way, for the sentiment I’ve used; Keep Going Stamp Set, WOW! Embossing Pad and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich.

So therefore, after I was done gold heat embossing the sentiment, I trimmed the edges down from the card panel a bit smaller than the card base, and I mounted with craft foam and double-sided tape the card panel to one card base from the Strathmore Watercolor Cards & Envelopes. Then, to finish the card off I covered the wreath and buds with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen, and as a finishing touch I glued down with liquid glue a few clear sequins to balance the shine out. With that said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s clean and simple “Wreath Card”. As always, I appreciate the time that takes you to read my blog posts.
