Fall 2019 Greeting Cards

Fall 2019 Greeting Cards

Hey there! As, we’re just a day away for Fall Season here in U.S YAY!!! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you these two Fall greeting cards that, I’ve create using the September’s Card Kit of the Month called Express Yourself by Spellbinders. With that being said, please keep on reading the post. ↓

To begin with, I started by selecting the patterned paper that I was going to use as the card backgrounds. Once, I selected the patterned paper for the card panels, I also selected the complementary colors that, I was going to use for the flowers and leaves. As you can see, I selected a darker and a lighter pink for the flowers and, a green patterned for the leaves. Then, right after when I was done selecting the colors, I ran through the die-cutting machine the dies included in the card kit to die-cut the flowers and leaves and once I was done die-cutting them, I set them aside.

In the meantime, I also ran through the die-cutting machine the dies that has the letters to die-cut them out of the gold card stock included in the kit and, once I was done die-cutting the letters, I set them aside.

Lastly, to finish the die-cutting part, I ran through the die-cutting machine the dies that create the frame along with whisper card stock to die-cut the pieces for both frames. This die cut; the edges, the inside background of the frame, and the tiny corner covers of the frame. This part is so much fun as, those tiny pieces create a seamless appearance for the joins of the frames.

Finally, after the color selection and die-cutting, I started the layering of the cards. So… for the layering, I adhered the backing of each of the card panels to the top folding white card bases that, I had previously scored and fold in half. Then, I assembled the pieces together to create each of the frames. Once, the frames were done, I adhered each of their backings to their correspondent card bases.

To finish both cards off, I adhered the flowers and leaves on one of the top and one of the lower sides of the frames creating with them two beautiful clusters for each of the cards. As for the letters, I adhered each of them with liquid glue creating with them two Fall greeting cards. isn’t that fun!?? To me they look like if they were those fancy home decors from Hobby Lobby or Michael’s. Got myself some inspiration from the craft store home decor aisles. So, that’s all for today friends! I hope that I’ve inspired you to give these designs a try! Down below you’ll find important information about each of the Spellbinders Clubs as, prices will be increasing.
