Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you set of very delicate “Floral” inspiration cards made using; Delicate Florals Shadow Stamp Set, Delicate Floral Fillers Stamp Set and Delicate Florals Shadow Die by Pigment Craft Co from their latest, May 2021 New Arrival Release. Along with them, I also used Bitty Dots Stencil Set to create the background of the A2 size cards and Round Nesting Tag Dies to create the shaped base. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Although, both cards have a similar look, I made slightly changes to give one of them an extra touch of gold so therefore, to create the first example, I went ahead to place inside my MISTI Stamping Tool an A2 size white card panel. Next, I went ahead to line up over it the large stamp image from Delicate Florals Shadow Stamp Set and then, I went ahead to get the image stamped twice using Sea Glass Ink. This stamp set is a layered stamp thus, as soon as I had finished stamping the shadow layer, I went ahead to also use the stamp images from Delicate Floral Fillers Stamp Set to get the flowers stamped using, Blush Pink Ink and leaves with a combination of Citrine Ink and Greenery Ink.
Therefore, I’d like to mention that this layered stamp set also has stamp images that fill out the berries and dots in different sizes inside the large image so, I for the berries I decided to stamp them with embossing ink and then, get them heat embossing with gold heat embossing powder. And, as for the tiny dots, I decided to get them stamped with Emerald Isle Ink. Nevertheless, after I had finished the stamping process for it, I went ahead to line up over the stamped image its coordinating die from Delicate Florals Shadow Die and I ran them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die-cut it out from the card panel.
Having that said, after I had finished die-cutting the stamped image, I went ahead to set it off aside while I kept going to create the background panel for the card so to do that, I used both stencils from Bitty Dots Stencil Set along with some of the color inks that I used to stamp the large image. Therefore, after I had finished creating the background over the card panel, I went ahead to trim off the edges from it a bit smaller than the card base using my Tim Holtz - 8.5 Inch Comfort Paper Trimmer. Lastly, I went ahead to adhere down the backing of the card panel to an A2 top folding white card with double-sided tape to add a bit of dimension and then, I also got mounted the die-cutting image over the card using craft foam tape as well to add even more dimension. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to glue down here and there some Crystal Confetti and white jewels with Bearly Art Craft Glue to add a pop of shine and one of the sentiments which I had previously stamped and heat embossing over a small piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiment including in Blossoming Stamp Set.
As, for the second card, I’ve gotten stamped the die-cutting floral in the same way as I did for the first example. However, I switched the green inks for the greenery stamping step, I skipped the gold heat embossing, but gotten stamped the berries with Emerald Isle Ink. Last but not least, I decided not to stamp the dotted stamp images leaving that way an appearance of white splattering.
Moving on, as soon as I had finished the stamping and die-cutting, I set it off aside to create the shaped card base so to do that, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the largest die from Round Nesting Tag Dies and I ran them through the die-cut machine to die-cut the large tag out of it. Next, I repeated the same step to die-cut a second tag and once I had that done, I went ahead to create a scoring line on the top side of the tag at 1/4’’ of an inch mark and then I went ahead to adhere them together with a skinny piece of double-sided tape.
So, right after that I had finished the shaped card base, I went ahead to get mounted the die-cutting floral over it with craft foam adhesive to add a bit of dimension and then, I also adhered down the sentiments which I’ve had previously stamped, heat embossing and die-cutting using the sentiments including in the stamp set and by using its coordinating die as well. Lastly, I embellished the card by gluing down a combination of crystals and jewels, which by the way is the same that I used in the previous example.
Finally, to finish both cards off, I went ahead to glue down a translucent die-cutting bow to each card which I’ve had previously pre-made using dies from Artistic Bows Die Set and translucent vellum. And… with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this set of very delicate “Floral” inspiration cards.
