Concord & 9TH April 2022 Release/Feature Friday Week 1┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Friday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a beautiful set of inspiration cards with a “Quilting Pattern” look showcasing the latest: Quilt Top Dies Bundle from the April’s Release by Concord & 9TH which, includes Chevron Quilt Top Dies, Geometric Quilt Top Dies, and Pinwheel Quilt Top Dies. Along with these sets, I’ve used Just Saying Dies, Hello Wishes Stamp and Hello Wishes Dies to add the card sentiments + Garden Party Patterned Paper Pack to add the beautiful patterns and colored cardstock from Assorted Color Cardstock. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓

Therefore, for the first example, I started off by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the cover plate die included in Pinwheel Quilt Top Dies and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine not only to cut out the front card panel from the white cardstock but to add the stitching and pinwheel design to it as well. Next, I went ahead to repeat the same step to cut out another card front panel from another piece of white cardstock.

Having that said, as soon as, I’ve had finished cutting and adding the stitched details to them, I went ahead to get the backing of one of them adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to use a pair of scissors to fussy cut out the three detailed squares that you see in the image above. Although this set includes a solid die that die cut a square when you use it, I decided to skip it and fussy cut out the squares from the detailed front card panel to keep the stitching details. Also, the die set includes two dies that cut out mini triangles that add up stitching details to them as well. That said, I went ahead to use them to cut out some mini triangles using pieces of patterned paper from the Garden Party Patterned Paper Pack.

Thus, for the card assembling, I went ahead to glue down some of the mini triangles to the white fussy cut out squares but only gluing down each pointy of them in the center of them because, I wanted to curl up the other pointy edge to add dimension to them. Next, to add a gold accents to the center of them, I went ahead to add to each square centers a Heart Paper Fasteners Brad for a sweet touch. Then, I went ahead to mount each square with square foam adhesives to add dimension following the pattern from the front card panel which, I got previously adhered over the card base. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to get mounted part of the large sentiment that I got fussy cut out and one of the smaller sentiments to create the sentiment for this example. Thus, to create the card sentiment, I used Hello Wishes Stamp and Hello Wishes Dies along with pieces of white cardstock and VersaMark Ink Pad, Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded, and Wow Embossing Powder Dual Speed Heat Tool for the stamping and heat embossing process.

For the second example, I used Geometric Quilt Top Dies in the same way as, I did for the previous example so, I went ahead to line up the cover plate die over a large piece of white cardstock included in the set and then, I went ahead to run them through the die cut machine. Next, I used the chevron dies included in the set to cut out some colored solid pieces using Sorbet, Sea Glass and Stardust cardstock from Assorted Color Cardstock.

Thus, for the card assembling, I went ahead to get the backing of the detailed front card panel adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base. Next, I proceeded to follow the front card design to get the solid-colored chevron pieces glue down over it and then, I used some of the leftover mini triangles that I had left from the previous example. This set include two dies that cut out some mini triangles as well but since, I had some left from the previous example, I decided to use them instead.

Having that being said, I went ahead to use the square die included in the Pinwheel Quilt Top Dies to cut out the solid white square and then, I went ahead to get it mounted with square foam adhesives to add dimension right in the center of the geometric diamond shaped created in the right side of the card. Lastly, to add a floral touch, I used the dies included in Hello Wishes Dies to create a mini floral cluster and then, to finish the card off, I used two of the sentiments from Hello Wishes Stamp to create the card sentiment for this example.

For the last example, I used Chevron Quilt Top Dies along with two different pattern sheets included in Garden Party Patterned Paper Pack. Thus, same as I did for the previous examples, I went ahead to die-cut the card front card panel from a large piece of white cardstock using the cover plate die included in the set and then, I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2 top folding white card base.

Next, I used the chevron dies included in the set to cut out the individual chevron pieces from the two different patterned paper sheets. Having that said, after getting the die-cutting chevron pieces I went ahead to follow the design from the card front panel to glue down the colored Stardust polka dot pattern and to get mounted with craft foam adhesive the Sea Glass colored polka dot pattern to create dimension between them.

Lastly, I used one of the large sentiments dies included in Just Saying Dies to create the card sentiment. So to create the card sentiment, I went ahead to die cut the shadow layer from Gold Foil Cardstock and from Sorbet colored cardstock. Then, its top layer from White cardstock on which, I created dimension by die cutting it out three times from the white cardstock. Thus, to finish the card off, I went ahead to layer the large sentiment over and then, I got it glued down to the the card along with two mini sentiments to complete the full look. By the way, I used the same stamp set that I used in the previous example to get the smaller sentiment stamped and heat emboss. Also, to make it even more dimensional, I added Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen and Glossy Accent to top layer of the large sentiment to add a shimmery and glossy effect to it.

Last but certainly not least, to finish this card set off, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker along with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue to glue down here and there some of the Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to add a touch of sparkle to each card. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this beautiful set of inspiration cards with a “Quilting Pattern” look showcasing the latest: Quilt Top Dies Bundle from the April’s Release by Concord & 9th.
