Happy Saturday, Friends! In today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a clean and simple inspirational set of birthday cards with a white-on-white “Textured, Dimensional & Glimmering” look using the following stamps and dies sets; Beautiful Birthday Bouquets Stamp, Beautiful Birthday Bouquets Dies, Scalloped Layered cake Dies, and Confetti Dots Hot Foil by The Stamp Market. Also, I used some of the foiled phrases from the Foiled Phrases Gold ephemera pack for the cards sentiments. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started by getting the hot foil stamping step over an A2-size white card panel that I created using Hammermill Cardstock. Thus, for the hot foil stamping, I used the Confetti Dots Hot Foil plate alongside the Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine and Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform plus a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll-Polished Brass. Once I had finished the hot foil stamping step over the card panel, I used the die-cutting machine to die-cut the cake layers using the dies included in the Scalloped Layered cake Dies set.
After completing the die-cutting steps, I put them aside, and then I used the Just Vines Stamp to add a white-on-white heat embossing texture to an A2-size white card panel. So, after adding the textured touch to the card panel, I used the Paper Trimmer to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side f the card panel, and then I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to an A2-size top folding white card base. Moving on, after getting the textured card backside of the card's background adhered to the card base, I folded over inwards the edges of the cake layers, and then I used the side of the Teflon bone folder to stretch out the cardstock to add a slightly rounded effect.
Thus, after adding the dimensional effect to the cake layers, I glued down (as shown in the image above) over the front card panel. Next, to keep up with the card’s layout, I added a subtly dimensional floral touch to the cake on the left side and also on the top part of it. As for the floral touch, I used translucent vellum to keep it soft but dimensional at the same time after adding the white embossing over the translucent vellum. As I mentioned at the beginning of this post, I used the Beautiful Birthday Bouquets Stamp and Beautiful Birthday Bouquets Dies for the flowers. Also, I used the MISTI Mini Stamp Tool along with Embossing Ink, Embossing Powder Ultra Fine Alabaster, and Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool for the heat embossing step.
Lastly, to finish the card, I used one of the sentiments from the Foiled Phrases Gold pack to get the card sentiment mounted over the bottom layer of the cake, and lastly, I glued down some Crystal Confetti to add an extra touch of sparkle to the card.
For the second example, I used the large die-cutting floral cluster that I had left over from the previous stamping and white heat embossing step over the vellum.
So, to keep up with the cohesive look on both cards, I used the same background stamp to add the white-on-white to an A2-size white card panel. Next, I used the paper trimmer to trim off 1/4 of an inch from each side of the card panel, and then I got the backing of it mounted with craft foam adhesive to add dimension to an A2-size side folding white card base on a landscaping form.
Then, I got one of the foiled card sentiments glued down to the center-right side of the floral cluster. Next, I added dimension to the sentiment by placing craft foam adhesive under the right side of it and underneath the part where I had previously glued it over the floral cluster.
That said, after getting the card sentiment mounted over the card, I finished the card by using the Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue and the Jewels Picker to glue down here and there some of the Crystal Confetti to add the card a little extra touch of shine.
And with that said, friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this clean and simple inspirational set of birthday cards with a white-on-white “Textured, Dimensional & Glimmering” look using stamps, dies, and more by The Stamp Market.
