Blooming Branch ┃ Thank You Inspiration Card

Happy Saturday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a “Thank You” floral inspiration card with a double fold and decorative opening edge, made using the latest Blooming Branch Stamp Set, Blooming Branch Die and Blooming Branch Layering Stencils sets. Along with those sets, I’m also using Diagonal Stripes Hot Foil Plate as well to add texture to one side of the card and of course PFS- Inks to ink up the floral cluster. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started off by creating the card base, so to do that, I went ahead to trim down in half an 8x11 inches heavy weight white cardstock sheet using my Comfort Paper Trimmer to create 2 A2 size side folding card bases. Once, I’ve got that step done, I’ve gone ahead to place down each cardstock piece over my Scoring Board to mark a scoring line on each of them to 4-1/4” inches.

Next, after marking the scoring lines over the card bases, I went ahead to fold them over, and then I put them off to the side. Meanwhile, I went ahead to add texture to an A2 size white card panel using the Diagonal Stripes Hot Foil Plate along with the instructions from my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine for a dry embossing textured look. Thus, soon after that I’ve gotten finished adding the texture to the card panel, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive to one of the card bases.

Moving on, right after that I’ve got finished adhering the card panel over the card base, I went ahead to put it off to the side, and then I went ahead to create the decorative edge over the other card base, so to do that, I went ahead to line up the Blooming Branch Die over the front flap of the card base leaving 1-1/4’’ space from the fold to right on the upper side of the card and 1-7/8” inches on the lower side of the card. Once, I’ve gotten the die line up over it, I went ahead to create a partial die-cutting (as shown in the image above) at the marked points mentioned above.

Thus, as soon as I’ve gotten finished adding the decorative and die-cutting edge to the front flap to the second card base, I went ahead to put it off to the side, to get trim down 1/8” of an inch from the front and back flaps of the other card base. Then, as soon as I’ve gotten that step finished, I’ve gone ahead to adhere with double-sided adhesive the backing of card base with the textured front flap with the opening from right to left inside the card base with the decorative and die-cutting flap with the opening from left to right, finishing that way my fun double fold card base with a decorative partial die-cutting edge + a white-on-white textured background.

It might sound a little complicated that what actually it is, but I promise you is not complicated at all. Having that said, right afterwards that I’ve got the card base ready to go, I went ahead to put it away so I could start the ink blending for the floral cluster. Therefore, for the floral cluster, I went ahead to quickly place inside my MISTI Stamping Tool an A2 size white card panel. Next, I went ahead to line up over it the floral stamp image including in Blooming Branch Stamp Set. Lastly, I went ahead to get the stamp image stamped over the card panel with embossing ink and once I had that done, I proceeded to get the stamped image heat emboss using Rose Gold Embossing Powder and my heat embossing gun tool. Thus, as soon as I’ve got finished the heat setting the embossing powder, I went ahead to place down the card panel over my Stencil Mat to get the inking for the flower cluster started.

As for the inking for the floral cluster, I went ahead to use the layering stencils including Blooming Branch Layering Stencils. With that said, I used a few ink blending brushes and stencil #1 along with Ballet Slipper Ink, stencil #2 along with Peach Fuzz Ink and stencil #3 along with Warm Buff Ink for a rose gold hue for the flowers. Then, stencil #4 along with Clementine Ink for the center of the flowers, stencil #5 along with Grassy Knoll Ink, stencil #6 along with Olive Ink and last but not least a touch of Warm Buff Ink for the leaves to create a warm touch deep green hue over them. Lastly, after finishing the inking for the floral cluster, I went ahead to die cut the cluster out of the card panel using its coordinating die and then, I also got another floral cluster die cut, but this time out of rose gold glittery cardstock.

And, as soon as I’ve got finished die-cutting the floral clusters, I went ahead to stack them together a little offset to the right to add that way a rose gold shadow to it. Then, I went ahead to glue down the stacked floral cluster to the card base following the die-cutting edge, and then to finish the card off, I went ahead to mount with square foam adhesives the card sentiment over the textured card flap. A card sentiment, which I’ve got stamped, heat embossing and fussy cut out from a white cardstock piece using one of the sentiments including in the stamp set . And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this “Thank You” floral inspiration card with a double fold and decorative/partial die-cutting opening edge inspiration card using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
