Beautiful Narcissus Greeting Cards
Hello, friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this beautiful set of card and matching tag that, I’ve created featuring the Beautiful Narcissus Stamp, and Beautiful Narcissus Crafting Die sets by Technique Tuesday. Because, who wouldn’t love to wish a beautiful day with a handmade card + a matching tag to a friend not just to make them special but, also to give a thanks for being a friend. Am I right? So, besides sharing this set, I also would like to mention that, this set along with many other are part of the currently Friendship Promotion which is live now. This promotion includes a -Free Shipping on US orders over $25.00 with a coupon code. This coupon code is good through 2/20/20 so, make sure to enter TTFriend at the checkout. That being said, please keep on reading below for the step by step on how; I’ve created this set ↓
To begin with, I started by adding lots of Embossing Powder Tool over a Strathmore Watercolor Card Stock panel because, I was going to stamp multiple the images from the Beautiful Narcissus Stamp Set with Embossing Ink. Once, I had stamped the card panel, I covered the stamping with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder and I heat set the card panel until the powder was completely melted. Soon after when I had the heat embossing done, I trimmed the edges from the card panel as usual, and I foam mounted it to an A2 top folding white card base.
Having the card base ready, I set aside while I stamped on another piece of watercolor paper the Narcissus image but, this time I stamped it with Versafine Onyx Black. To add a bit of dimension, I decided to clear-heat emboss the image so, I added Clear Gloss Embossing Powder to the black stamped image and I heat set it. To watercolor the floral cluster first; I added a touch of Gray to create a slightly shadow in the white flowers. Second; I added Green hues to the stems and leaves, Lastly, I added a touch of Orange and Yellow to the center of each flower. Finally, to finish the card off, I ran through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the water-colored image along with the Beautiful Narcissus Crafting Die to die-cut it out of the watercolor paper. Once, I had that done, I foam mounted the floral cluster to the card along with the sentiment which, I had previously gold-heat embossed on a leftover watercolor paper piece.
After finishing the card, I started to create the matching tag. So, to that I stamped, clear-heat embossed and water-colored the image from the same stamp set in the same exact way as, I did for the card.
Soon after, I carefully placed the largest die from the Essential Stitched Labels Crafting Dies to create the tag. Once I had the die in place, I ran the paper along with the die through the die-cutting machine. Next, I placed over the tag the die that created the stitched hole, and I ran it through the die-cutting machine. Lastly, after I had that done, I create a second tag die-cutting because, I wanted to adhere it to the back of the first tag for a sturdy look. Finally, to finish the tag off, I gold-heat embossed a sentiment from the Cosmo Stamp Set on the top right side of the tag.
As my last touches, I tied a bow to the tag using a large piece of Natural Burlap String as well as, the floral cluster on the card. To add shine, I covered the flowers with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen, and I adhered a few New Leaf Sparkly Shaker Mix here and there for a Shiny/Sparkly look. With that being said this is all, I have for today. Below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
