Alex Designs Lily┃Inspiration Card
Happy Saturday, Friends! It’s release day over at Alex Syberia Design so, on today’s blog post I’ll be sharing with you this Slim “Encouragement” card that I’ve made using the gorgeous Lily Digital Stamp. That being said, let’s jump into the step by step on how to-make-it ↓
To create this card first, I started by downloading, saving and printing the digital image on a regular copy paper sheet. To make it this size, I set the setting on my printer to 5X7 so, after I was done printing the image, I placed it on my clipboard. Right after that, I opened up one of my Strathmore Watercolor Cards, and I temporarily adhered it underneath the printed sheet because, I was going to transfer the printed image over the watercolor card base. Therefore, to do that I placed the card base keeping in mind where exactly I wanted the images to be transferred.
To transfer the image, I placed a Graphite Paper sheet in between my printed image and the card panel so, after I had all 3 sheets layered I secure them with washi tape to avoid them from slip over. Soon after, I carefully traced the whole perimeter of the image along with its details with a very sharped pencil.
Moving on, after I was done transferring the image, I removed the graphite paper and the printed image from my clipboard leaving just the temporarily adhere card base on my clipboard. Taking advantage than my card base was into place, I quickly made a loose water-coloring over the transferred image.
This card is basically a one-layer card so, the water-coloring completely dry, I removed the card base from my clipboard, and I reinforced back the folding with my Teflon bone-folder. Then, I used a No. 5 Black Micron Fine Line Pen to trace once again the lines from the image to make them to stand out. Lastly, to finish the card off, I placed inside of my stamping tool the card because, I was going to stamp in the lower right side of the card with Detail Black Ink a sentiment which by the is part of the SSS Amazing Stamp Set.
After I was done stamping the sentiment, I removed the card out of my stamping tool and I glued down with liquid glue here and there some of the Raspberry Jewels Mix. Then, to add even more shine, I covered the entire flower with Nuvo Aqua Shimmer Pen not only that because, I also added Glossy Accent to the Filament and Anther for and extra shiny dimensional look. With that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s “Encouragement” card using the just released Lily Digital Stamp by Alex Syberia Design.
