Wrap It Up┃Holiday Inspiration Gift Tags & Matching Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a very delicate and modern set of “Holiday” inspiration gift tags & matching card made using; Modern Poinsettia Stamp Set, Modern Poinsettia Die, Wrap It Up: Toppings Stamp Set, Wrap It Up: Toppings 1 Die and Wrap It Up: Toppings 2 Die by Pigment Craft Co from their latest, NOV 2021 New Release. Along with those beautiful sets, I also used Treat Yourself Stamp Set, Jumbo Botanicals: Budding Branch Stamp and Jumbo Botanicals: Budding Branch Die + Pigment Craft Co Inks. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Therefore, I started off by stamping the large poinsettia stamp image including in Modern Poinsettia Stamp Set, thus to do that, I went ahead to place a large piece of white cardstock inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I went ahead to get the holiday cluster stamp image stamped over it. For the stamping process, I carefully went ahead to stamp each greenery from the cluster using: Jade, Aloe, Eucalyptus and Sage hues. Then, for the large poinsettia I used Glow, Medina and Fig hues. Lastly, for the small buds I used Quince hue. By the way, they are all Pigment Craft Co Inks.

Moving on, as soon as I’ve had finished stamping over the cardstock piece, I’ve gone ahead to take it out from my stamping tool and then, I proceeded to line up over the stamped image the Modern Poinsettia Die which happens to be its coordinating die, to die cut the stamped image out of the cardstock. Once, I had that done, I went ahead to use the die-cutting image as embellishment, so I went ahead to place it over a gift (as shown in the image above) along with a gift tag. Gift tag which I’ve had previously created using a combination of Wrap It Up: Toppings Stamp Set, Wrap It Up: Toppings 1 Die and Wrap It Up: Toppings 2 Die.

The combination of both Wrap It Up: Toppings 1 Die and Wrap It Up: Toppings 2 Die includes 7 different shapes of gift tags, having that being said I used the one that you see in the image above to create a tag/mini note card. Thus, to get the gift tag/mini note card embellished I used once again the large stamp image that I used in the previous example however, instead of stamping it as a single image I did it in two sections, because I wanted to create dimension by stamping the greenery in one piece of cardstock and the large poinsettia in another piece.

Having that said, after getting the stamping finished, I’ve gone ahead to fussy cut out the stamped images using a pair of small scissors and then, I proceeded to mount each fussy cut out piece over the left side of the tag. Lastly, to finish it off I mounted a sentiment on the right side of the card using square foam adhesives to level up the dimension. A sentiment, which I’ve had gotten stamped and gold heat embossing previously over a piece of white cardstock using one of the sentiments including in Treat Yourself Stamp Set and Antique Gold Crisp Embossing Powder.

For the third example, I made another dimensional tag using another of the larger die-cutting tags.

Therefore, to get it embellished, I used the greenery from the stamp image only, So, I went ahead to stamp, die cut and fussy cut out the greenery and then, I had them mounted over the right side of the tag. Lastly, I added two sentiments. Sentiments, which I’ve had previously stamp and gold heat embossing over two strips of white cardstock using the sentiments including in Wrap It Up: Toppings Stamp Set.

For the fourth example, I used the smaller tag from the set to get a smaller gift embellished as well. So, I went ahead to get two sentiments stamped over the tag along with heart stamp image which is also including in the same set.

By the way, for all die-cutting tags I used the same hue combination that I used to get the large cluster stamped. Having that said, to finish the smaller gift off, I went ahead to add a little bit of smaller greenery as well. Thus, to do that I used Jumbo Botanicals: Budding Branch Stamp and Jumbo Botanicals: Budding Branch Die. Set, which I think that goes perfectly well with the larger greenery from the Wrap It Up: Toppings Stamp Set.

The tags die sets include a scalloped shaped tag as well, thus I went ahead to get the sentiment stamped over it using one of the stamp images including in the set.

The sets include a smaller tag with a traditional tag shape; thus, I went ahead to get a sentiment stamped over it using another sentiment from the stamp. However, to create a fun look, I got the stamping done in a ombre effect using some of the hues from the color palette used to make them all.

Lastly, one of the set includes a long oval shaped tag, thus I went ahead to get a sentiment stamped over it along with a touch of gold which I created by getting stamped and gold heat embossing the heart image under the sentiment (as shown in the image above.) By the way, I would like to mention that I used May Arts Ribbon to create the tags strings to compliment the soft hues plus the Kraft touch from the gift boxes for a full modern and organic look.

Although the floral/holiday cluster it is larger to fit on an A2 standard card base, I couldn’t get today’s projects finished without making a card. Therefore, I went ahead to get the stamping completed for the large image and then, I used its coordinating die to cut it out of the cardstock in the same way as I did for the first example.

Then, to make it simple, I used an embossing folder to add texture to an A2 white card panel and once I’ve gotten that done, I got the backing of the textured card panel adhered over an A2 size side folding white card base. Next, I went ahead to get the floral cluster mounted over the card using craft foam adhesive to add dimension. And, last but certainly not least, I finished the card off by mounting the card sentiment, A card sentiment, which I had gotten stamped and gold heat embossing on a piece of white cardstock, using the same sentiment which I used in the second example.

Finally, to finish the tags along with their coordinating card, I went ahead to get the two larger tags and the card embellished by gluing down here and there some gold jewels to add them an extra touch of shine! And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this delicate and modern set of “Holiday” inspiration gift tags & matching card.
