Happy Tuesday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share a “Holiday Wreath” inspiration card that I’ve made for the “Sep-2020 “Christmas” challenge theme over at the WOW! Embossing Powders Facebook Page using WOW! Metallic Gold Rich powder. With that being said, I also would like to invite you to come and play along with us for a chance to win a $15.00 or ₤15.00 gift card to WOW! US or WOW! UK online stores. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step by step on how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by creating a large greenish watercolor pattern so to do that, I’ve temporarily adhered a large piece of Strathmore Watercolor Paper over my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface.
Therefore, to create the water-coloring greenish pattern, I’ve gone ahead to paint and smoosh the watercolor paper using different Greens along with a Grey hue from my White Nights Watercolor palette.
Thus, once I’ve finished the water-coloring over the card panel, I went ahead to set it aside to let the painting air dry. Meanwhile, I went ahead to place a white card panel inside my MISTI Stamping Tool, and once I had it onto place, I’ve gone ahead to line up the Barnwood Background Stamp. Next, I’ve picked up the background stamp with the stamping tool door, and then I’ve gone ahead to prep the card panel using Embossing Powder Tool.
Then, after I’ve had finish prepping the card panel, I went ahead to stamp the background image with WOW! Embossing Pad. Therefore, after I’ve had the stamping done, I’ve gone ahead to remove the card panel out of my stamping tool and soon after that, I’ve added WOW! Metallic Gold Rich over the stamping. Next, I’ve gone ahead to heat set the powder using my WOW! Heat Embossing Gun Tool. And thus, after I’ve finished the heat embossing, I’ve placed the heat embossed card panel over my paper trimmer, and I went ahead to trim the edges down. Last but not least, after trimming them down, I’ve gone ahead to adhere the backing of the card panel with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding white card base.
Finally, after I’ve done creating the background for the card, I went back to my water-colored panel and I’ve lined up the smaller die from the Holiday Greenery Die Set, and once I’ve had them line up, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine quite a few times until I’ve had it enough die-cut pieces to create the wreath. Therefore, after I’ve finished the die-cutting pieces, I’ve gone ahead to add more detail by spraying them using Sheer Shimmer Craft Spray-Gold and White Splatters. Then, I’ve used 2 circle dies to die-cut a white circle and use it as a guide to create the wreath.
So, to create the wreath first, I’ve mounted the white circle with craft foam tape to the card. Next, I’ve glued down each die-cut pieces around the circle with liquid glue (as shown in the image above) until the wreath was completed. Once, I’ve had done gluing each piece, I’ve finish the wreath by gluing down a fabric bow from Days of Splendor Fabric Bow Pack and a sentiment which, I’ve had previously die-cut and gold heat emboss using a die from the Merry Mantle Bundle. Then, to finish the card off, I’ve glued down with liquid glue tiny gold and light sea-foam jewels to add even more sparkle! With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created this “Holiday Wreath” inspiration card.
