To begin with, I started by inking it up a Strathmore Bristol Smooth card panel with Bubble Gum Ink & Blush Ink. To inked up the card panel, I used an Blending Brush for a softer look so, after the inking I set the card panel to dry. In the meantime, while the card panel was drying, I stamped on a piece of white card stock the greenery from the Candy Cane Christmas Stamp Set with Bubble Gum Ink and the outline image with WOW! Embossing Ink because, I gold heat embossed the outline from the greenery, the Christmas sentiment and the berries with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder.
Right after that, I came back to the inked background which was dried by then so, I treated the entire card panel with Embossing Powder Tool and, I stamped with WOW! Embossing Ink the Merry Background over it the, I white heat embossed the stamping with Opaque Bright White Embossing Powder. Once, the powder was melted, I trimmed the edges of the card panel as usual and, I ran through the die-cut machine the card panel along with the coordinated MERRY die which is included in the Candy Cane Christmas Bundle to die-cut one of the MERRY words out of the card panel. After the die-cutting, I inked up a piece of white card stock with embossing ink and, I glitter embossed the stamping with WOW! Taffeta Pink Translucent Embossing Glitter because, I wanted to add a bit of sparkle under the negative MERRY word as, well as the Holly Leaves which I die-cut out of the glittery card piece. Lastly, I adhered the glittery piece to the back of the card panel then, I adhered the backing of the card panel to an A2 top folding white card base with foam mounting tape. To finish the card off, I adhered the Christmas sentiment under the MERRY and I adhered the greenery, leaves and berries on the side of the merry with liquid glue as you can see in the picture above.
For the second example, I white heat embossed the same background stamp on a white card panel for a white on white look as I wanted to keep it simple. So, right after the white heat embossing, I trimmed the edges of the card panel as usual and I adhered the backing of it to an A2 top folding white card base with double-sided tape.
Next, I ran through the die-cut machine the MERRY die to die-cut the letters out of fun foam because, I was going to adhered the letters that I had left over from the previous card panel so, instead of adding the dimension to the card panel, I decided to add the dimension to the letters by adhering them with liquid glue to the fun foam then to the same placement as the previous example. To finish the card off, I adhered the Christmas sentiment, greenery and Holly leaves in the same way as the previous example.
As, a finishing touch I decided to adhere some jewels here and there for an extra touch of sparkle. With that being said, that’s all for today friends, I hope that these Glittery Christmas cards inspire you to give them, and the “Emboss Resist” challenge a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts. Below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used in this blog post.
