Winter 2021 Memorydex┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I would like to share with you these memorydex card set with a “Winter” theme made using Memorydex System by Heidi Swapp which you can find over Scrapbook.com. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To begin with, you can start by taking a look in the image above how this wintry Memorydex shaker card with a shape of a Christmas tree looks like on my Heidi Swapp Rolodex Spinner - Blush. Therefore, to make it I used Layered Snowflakes Die Set by Pinkfresh Studio and Christmas Tree Memorydex Rolodex Shaker Metal Cutting Dies which I found at Amazon.

That said, I started by lining up both Christmas tree dies from the set over a large piece of one of the patterned paper from Heidi Swapp - Storyline Paper Pad and then, I went ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Once, I had that step done, I went ahead to adhere a piece of acetate to the backing of the top layer using skinny pieces of double-sided tape. Thus, after I had finished adhering the acetate, I kept it facing down while I went ahead to adhere skinny pieces of craft foam tape around the perimeter to create dimension because, I wanted it to be a shaker wintry tree. So, having that done, I went ahead to add a quite amount of WRMK Glitter Mix and then I peeled off the backing of the craft foam tape and I’ve gotten the shaker layering done by adhering the bottom layer to it.

Moving on, to embellish my wintry tree, I went ahead to die-cut a few snowflakes using pieces of white cardstock and translucent vellum along with Layered Snowflakes Die Set. Therefore, I layered the die-cutting snowflakes and I also added glitter to add texture. Then, I’ve gotten them glue down with liquid glue (as shown in the image above.) And then, I kept going to get glue down the Winter die-cutting word which I’ve had previously die-cut out of gold cardstock using one of the die words from Four Seasons Die Set. Finally, I went ahead to mount a sentiment which I’ve had previously stamped and gold heat embossing on a piece of white cardstock and to finish it off, I went ahead to glue down here and there with liquid glue tiny gold jewels to add an extra touch of shine.

For the next Memorydex card, I made a very dimensional and sparkly snowflake using the oval divider die from Heidi Swapp Memorydex Die Set Oval along with Snowflake Die.

Therefore, I went ahead to die-cut the divider using one of the patterned papers from the same pad and then, I’ve gotten die-cut the snowflake out of white cardstock. Once, I had that done, I went ahead to set the divider off aside while I went ahead to get heat embossing the die-cutting snowflake using a combination of Midas Touch and Your Carriage Awaits embossing glitters.

Thus, right after that I’ve had finished the heat glitter embossing over the die-cutting snowflake, I went ahead to mount it with square foam adhesives over the divider and then, I finished off this Memorydex card by mounting a gold heat embossing sentiment along with a combination of gold sequins and jewels.

For the last example, I made a wintry shaker cloche using the dies from Santa’’s Workshop Etched Dies.

Therefore, I went ahead to die-cut the outer layer of the cloche and the deer out of glitter cardstock. Next, I went ahead to die-cut the background out of one of the patterned papers from the pad. Then, I went ahead to die-cut the die-cutting words and the trees out of gold cardstock and last but not least, I went ahead to get the base and hills die-cut out of white cardstock.

To assemble the cloche first, I went ahead to adhere a white solid background to the base and then, I used my Heidi Swapp Memorydex Hole Punch - 2 Slot to punch the wholes. Second, I went ahead to glue down with liquid glue the detailed background, trees, hills, and deer. Third, I adhered a piece of acetate to the backing of the cloche and then, I also adhered skinny pieces of craft foam tape because, I wanted to create a bit of dimension. Last but not least, I went ahead to add glitter and then, I finished it off by mounting the top layer to it creating that way a shaker cloche.
