Thank You Card

WITH THANKS CARD

Hello Everyone, on today's Blog I am stepping up creating a Thank You card with a summery cloudy sky and a backyard scene. It might be a little bit hard to see the sky. But, I promise to you the Sky is there.

LET'S GET STARTED

First, I used a piece of  80# Neenah Classic Crest Solar White cardstock to stamp the Floral images. (If, happens that you made mistakes using the wrong cardstock for a card base. Don't waste it! Because, you can reuse it for another project. Just like I am doing it for this card) The stamp that I'm featuring for this card is the Mandy's Flowers by Simon Says Stamp. The main idea was to add the 3 floral images. But, I ended up using only 2 for this card. So, I saved the extra for another card.

COLORING

Second, for the coloring I used the following Copic Markers.
Green G99
Yellow Green YG61, YG63
Neutral N2, N4, N6
Red R11, R14, R20, R22
Earth Tone E13, E15, E18, E25
Colorless 0

FUSSY CUTTING

After, the coloring I fussy cut the floral and the fence images for the card scene. Then, I selected a piece of Strathmore Bristol Smooth paper for the card panel.

INK BLENDING

For the sky I inked up the piece of Bristol Paper using the Cloud stencil by My Favorite Things Stamp and Tumbled Glass Distress Oxides Ink by Rangers to create the clouds.
Then, I repeat the same for the grass. I inked up the bottom part of the panel with the ink blending tool, using the Grassy Edges stencil by MFTS and Ranger's Distress Oxides Ink in Mowed Lawn to create the grass.

Layout

Once, all the pieces were ready. I started laying out one by one. First, I adhered the 2 fence pieces side by side in the middle of the card panel. Second, I adhered the flowers with foam tape creating dimension in between them. Third, I stamped 2 of the sentiments from the stamp set with Versafine Onyx Black Ink. And, I adhered them with foam tape on top of the fence.
Last but not least, I used 2 Doodlebug tiny hearts stickers and a little bow that I tightened up a piece of the May Arts Twine for embellishment.
To finish it up, I adhered the card panel to a 110# Classic Crest Solar White card base.
