Thank you, Square Greeting Cards
Happy Sunday, Friends! After making and receiving Christmas cards we as, crafters know that, we’re going to need lots of Thank you cards, isn’t that right? So…on today’s blog, I’d like to share with you these 2 Thank you, square cards that I’ve made with some of the new dies from the new Essentails-3 release by Pinkfresh Studio without further ado, let’s jump into the blog ↓
To begin with, I started by creating the card bases so, to do that, I folded in half a piece of white card stock that measured W 8 1/2’’ X H 4 1/4’’ after, the card stock was folded, I ended up getting a 4 1/4’’ X 4 1/4’’ white card base (I repeated the same steps 2X to create a second card base for the second example) Once, both card bases were done, I set them aside and I started the die-cutting for the cards.
For the first example, I ran through the die-cutting machine a piece of white card stock along with the largest square from the Stitched Squares Die Set once, the square was die-cut it out the white card stock, I adhered the backing of it foam mounting tape to one of the card bases. Then, I ran through the die-cutting machine the square die from the same set without the stitches to die-cut another square but, this time out of Kraft card stock. Soon after that, I foam mounted the Kraft square to the card adding more dimension. To add a fun detail to the background, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Radiant Background 1 which, soon after, I trimmed off the edges of it to a square that measured 3 7/8’’in. Then, I adhered the square this time with double-sided tape to the card base. Lastly, to create the focal point of the card, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Leafy Branch Die to die-cut the detailed branch out of white card stock then, I ran through the die-cutting machine the Thank you die from the Classic Words Die Set to die-cut the top layer 2X 1 out of white card stock and 1out of fun foam as, for the shadow layer, I die-cut it out of Translucent Vellum. Finally, I adhered the center of the leafy branch with liquid glue to the left side of the card followed for the shadow layer of the and the stacked top layer of the Thank you which, I adhered to the center of the card as, you can see in the picture above.
For the second card, I repeated the same steps from the previous example however, I used the new Diagonal Stitched Squares Die Set to create the details on the white square other than that, everything remained the same as for the card base itself.
As, for the focal point, I decided to added a wreath so, to do that I ran through the die-cutting machine the Layered Wreath Die Set to die-cut the wreath and the elements to create a dimensional wreath. Then, I foam mounted the wreath in the center of the card. Lastly, to finish the card off, I adhered a Thank you which, I die-cut it and, sacked in the same way that I did in the previous example.
As a finishing touches, I adhered here and there with liquid glue to each of the cards a few Jewels and Heaven Sent Sparkly Mix for a sparkly look. With that being said friends, I hope these cards inspire you to give these designs and the new Essentails-3 sets a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts.
