Summer Vibes Greeting Cards
Hello dear friends! Today I’ll be sharing with you these two pretty simple Summer Vibes cards that I made for the new REST AND REFRESH release by Simon Says Stamp featuring the new ANCHORS background stamp! That being said, please keep on reading the blog. ↓
To begin with for the first card I started by stamping with embossing ink the Sea Glass card panel, then I covered the stamping with Metallic Gold embossing powder. Lastly, I heat set the powder until was melted. Once, the powder was melted I trimmed the edges of the card panel, and I set it aside while I ran through the die-cutting machine the two layers from the Good Vibes die.
As, you can see I die-cut the top layer of the die out of gold cardstock, and the shadow layer out of vellum. Once, the di-cuttings were done I adhered the backed of the top layer to the bottom layer with liquid glue, and right after I adhered them to the bottom part of the card panel.
Next, I started the second panel by following the same steps.
For, the second card I repeated the same steps as I mentioned earlier. However, instead of Sea Glass cardstock I used Fog cardstock, and the Summertime Die. As, for the die-cutting part I ran through the die-cutting machine the Summertime die twice. First, to die-cut out of the same gold cardstock that I used for the previous card, and the second time out of the same Fog color card stock.
Once, the die-cutting part was done I adhered negative of the gold die-cutting to the card panel with double sided tape. Right after, I slightly trimmed the edges from the negative Fog die-cut, and I adhered the backed of it to the gold negative with double sided tape. Last but not least, I inlaid the letters from both of the die-cuttings.
Finally, to finish both cards off I adhered each of the card panels to their A2 side folding white card bases. And, as a finishing touch I decided to adhere moonlight sequins here and there for a sparkly look.
So, that’s all for today friends! I hope these cards inspire you to give these designs, and the Anchor Background Stamp a try! As always, I appreciate the time that you take to read my blog posts.
