SSS Make Merry Release┃Watercolor Card

Hello, Friends! It’s Simon Says Stamp - Make Merry release day YAY!!! Therefore, on today’s blog I’ll be sharing with you a no-line watercolor “Thanks” card made using the just released; Center Cut Fall Leaves Background Stamp. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I’ve started by placing inside my MISTI Stamping Tool a Fabriano Watercolor panel. Next, I’ve gone ahead to line up over the card panel the just released Center Cut Fall Leaves Background Stamp.

Therefore, after I’ve had them both line up, I went ahead to stamp the background image twice using No Line Ink. Thus, after I’ve finish stamping the background image, I’ve gone ahead to temporarily tape down the card panel over my Make Art Mini Stay-Tion All-in-One Magnetic Surface.

Moving on, after I’ve had the card panel onto place, I’ve gone ahead to watercolor each leaf using a combination of warm hues which, I’ve had previously mixed on my mixing palette using different hues from my Pinkfresh Watercolor Collection, White Nights Watercolor, Daniel Smith, HWC plus, Coliro Metallic Watercolor Palette to add Gold accents.

Lastly, after I’ve had finish the water-coloring, I’ve gone ahead to set the card panel aside to let it air dry. Meanwhile, I’ve gone ahead to line up over a piece of gold cardstock the top layer die from the Big Thanks Die and once I had them lined up, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Last and not least, I’ve gone ahead and run the die 2X but, this time to die cut the top layer out of white cardstock. Then, to finish the die-cutting process, I’ve gone ahead to line up the shadow layer from it over translucent vellum and I ran them through the die-cut machine as well.

Finally, to assemble the card, I went ahead to trim the edges off from the card panel slightly smaller than the card base, and once I’ve had that done, I’ve mounted the backing of it with craft foam tape to an A2 top folding white card base. Then, to finish the card off, I’ve stacked the layers from the die-cutting word and soon after that, I’ve glued it down with liquid glue in the center of the card (as show in the image above) And, as a finishing touch, I’ve glued down here and there with liquid glue some Beauty Sparkle Sequins to complement the shine from the gold accents. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve made this no-line watercolor “Thanks” card.
