SSS Lucky to Know you Release, Daffodil Stem 2-Ways Greeting Card
Hello, Friends! The new; Lucky to Know you release by Simon Says Stamp it’s finally here so therefore, on today’s blog I’ll be sharing the 2-Ways that, I’ve used the new; Daffodil Stem Die. So, with that being said, please keep on reading below ↓
To begin with, I started by running through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the SSS Daffodil Stem Die 2X to die-cut it once out of SSS Banana Cardstock and a second time out of SSS Green Apple Cardstock. Next, I ran once again through the die-cutting machine the die, but this time to die-cut it 7X out of white cardstock.
Right after, when all die-cutting pieces were done, I carefully poked the positive pieces out the white daffodils, and I separate the daffodils from the stems by fussy cutting them out with the help of a small scissors. Once, I had them all separated, I started to build the pattern for the card panel. So, to do that I started by gluing the outlined die-cutting pieces down with liquid glue to an A2 size white card panel.
Lastly, after the card panel pattern was completed, I trimmed the edges off slightly smaller than the card base, and I foam mounted it to an A2 size top folding white card base. Once, I had that done I set the card base aside, and I started the ink blending.
The ink blending process was very simple, as I only added depth to the already color cardstock. For the daffodil, I used; Distress Oxide Spiced Marmalade and for the leaves I used a mix of; TSM Leafy Ink Pad and Distress Oxide Forest Moss. Finally, after I had the ink blending done, I poked the positive pieces out and I inlaid them into the last white die-cutting piece that I have left, and to make it dimensional, I stacked the 2 leftover outline die-cutting underneath it.
To finish the card off, I gold heat embossed with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder on a piece of white cardstock a sentiment from the; Stronger Together Stamp Set which right afterwards, I trimmed the edges off, and I adhered it down with foam mounting tape to the bottom left corner of the card. Last but not least, to add even more dimension, I adhered down the daffodil also with foam mounting tape to the card. As finishing touches, I adhered with liquid glue here and there a mix of clear jewels from my Essentials: Crystal Mix and Crystal Confetti for an extra shiny look. Having my card completed, that’s all I have for today friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed the 2-Ways that I’ve used the new; Daffodil Stem Die.
