Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a beautiful and delicate set of slimline inspiration cards with a “Intricate & Detailed” look showcasing the latest, Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders which includes: Half Slimline Diamond Etched Dies, Half Slimline Bracket Etched Dies, Half Slimline Oval Etched Dies and Sweet Leaf Mini Slimline Etched Dies + Layered Daisies Etched Dies, Layered Lilies Etched Dies, Layered Cherry Blossoms Etched Dies and Layered Tulips Etched Dies. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step on how I made them ↓
Therefore, to make the first example, I went ahead to start off by lining up over a large piece of white cardstock the outer die and its insert die included in Half Slimline Oval Etched Dies. Next, I proceeded to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to cut out the first half of the intricate oval frame. Then, I went ahead to repeat the same steps to cut out the other half of the intricate frame. And, once I had that done, I proceeded to use just the outlined die to cut out two solid half frames from white cardstock as well.
Thus, as soon as, I’ve had finished die-cutting them all, I proceeded to layer the intricate die-cutting pieces over the solid pieces and then, I got both half frames mounted white craft foam adhesive over a white slimline card base, adding that way a little bit of dimension and completing the full oval frame look in the center of the card. This die set also includes the wording dies, so I went ahead to use the dies to cut out the card sentiment a few times from white cardstock and once out of gold cardstock. Having that said, as soon as, I’ve had finished die-cutting the sentiment, I proceeded to layer it over to add dimension to it and then, I got it gluing down in the center of the card.
Lastly, after adding the card sentiment to the card, I went ahead to finish it off by getting it embellished with two floral cluster on both sides of the frame. Floral clusters which, I’ve had previously die-cut out of white cardstock and gold cardstock and inking up with distress inks. As for the dies, I used the dies included in Layered Cherry Blossoms Etched Dies.
This collection includes a mini slimline set as well, so to make the second example, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of white cardstock the die included in Sweet Leaf Mini Slimline Etched Dies and then, I proceeded to run it through the die-cut machine. Once, I got that done, I went ahead to glue down the intricate leafy frame over a mini slimline card and then, I proceeded to use the dies included in Layered Lilies Etched Dies to cut out the floral cluster out of white cardstock.
Therefore, as soon as, I had gotten finished die-cutting the floral cluster pieces from the white cardstock, I proceeded to add a pop of color to it using some distress oxides inks and then, I got it assembled and glue down over the card. Lastly, to finish the card off, I went ahead to use the wording die included in Half Slimline Bracket Etched Dies to cut out the card sentiment from white and gold cardstock to make it dimensional. Thus, I went ahead to glue down the card sentiment over the lower right side of the card and then, I moved on to make the third example.
So, for the third example, I used the same technique I used in the first example to cut out intricate diamond frame from white cardstock. So, to do that, I used the dies included in Half Slimline Diamond Etched Dies. Next, right after that I’ve had finished the die-cutting process, I went ahead to get both half sides glue down over a white slimline card base, adding a very delicate and intricate white-on-white look to it.
Thus, for this example, I created a portrait looking card and, to get it embellished I used the dies included in Layered Daisies Etched Dies to create the daisies floral cluster. Lastly, to finish the card off, I used the wording die included in the set.
Lastly, for the last example, I created a portrait looking card as well but this time, I used Half Slimline Bracket Etched Dies to create the intricate and detailed slimline background for the card. And, I used Layered Tulips Etched Dies to add the floral look.
Besides, I used the wording die included in Half Slimline Oval Etched Dies to cut out the card sentiment. But, because due the width of the slimline card on the portrait design, I had to overlap the rest of the Beautiful word over the B. Which, I didn’t mind at all as I ended up loving the way of the overlapping look, honestly!
Finally, once I had finished the whole card set, I went ahead to use my Jewels Picker to glue down here and there with Bearly Art Precision Craft Glue some of the Rhinestones Sunlight Gold to add each card an extra touch of sparkle! And, with that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this beautiful and delicate set of slimline inspiration cards with a “Intricate & Detailed” look showcasing the latest, Layered Fleur Bouquet Slimlines Collection by Becca Feeken for Spellbinders.
