Spellbinders GOM MAR-2023┃Inspiration Card

Happy Wednesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share a clean and delicate inspiration card with a “Floral Background & Glimmering” look using the "So Kind of You" MAR-2022 Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, I started by getting the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock. Thus, as usual for the hot foil stamping process, I used the glimmer floral heart plate included in the club alongside the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Then, I use a large piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Gold as the foil hue. 

As for the hot foil stamping steps, I lined up the floral hot foil plate on the upper side of the white card panel, and then I repeated the same steps for the bottom part to create the full floral card background. Next, I lined up the other hot foil plate over another piece of white cardstock to get the center part of the card background hot foil stamped. Lastly, I lined up the smaller hot foil plate from the set to get the card sentiment hot foil stamped too.

Once I had the hot foil stamping steps completed over the pieces of white cardstock, I used some of the alcohol markers to add pops of colors to the card background and the center's floral element. Next, after adding the pops of colors to them, I used the Paper Trimmer to trim off 1/8 of an inch from each side of the card panel, and then I got the backing of it adhered with double-sided adhesive over an A2-size top folding white card base. 

So, as soon as I had gotten the card panel adhered to the card base, I put it aside. Meanwhile, I used the coordinating die to die-cut the floral element for the center part of the background, and then I added dimension to it by adding extra die-cutting pieces underneath it. Next, I used the scalloped die included in the set to die-cut the sentiment, and then I added dimension in the same way as I did for the center part of the floral background. So, after doing that, I finished the card by getting the center part glued down to the floral card background and the card’s sentiment glued down right in the center of the floral center part.
