Spellbinders GOM-APR2020┃Inspiration Card
Happy first day of the month, Friends! I hope you’re doing well, on today’s blog post I’m sharing with you this beautiful “Thanks for Everything” butterfly card that I made with the new; “Celebrate the Day” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders. So, without further ado, let’s jump to the step by step on how I made it ↓
To begin with, I started by setting up on my craft area my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. Then, I turned on the platform and while it was heating up, I created the card panel for the card.
To create the details on the card panel, I adhered down 3 strips of Vintage Gray washitape which I happened to have in my stash so therefore, once the washitape was into place I lined up over the card panel the 2 largest dies from the; Nestabilities Candlewick Rectangles Etched Dies and I ran them through the die-cutting machine. Right after when the die-cutting on the card panel was done, I mounted the card panel with craft foam to an A2 side folding white card base.
By the time that I was done mounting the card panel to the card base my platform was ready to foil so, I placed down over the platform every single plate from the “Celebrate the Day” set and I foiled them with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Champagne over a large piece of white cardstock. I’d like to mention that, this set includes 8 sentiment plates and 1 plate that creates a frame. Besides the plates the set also includes a label die which perfectly die-cut each sentiment. Isn’t that awesome!???
You can take a closer look in the image above how gorgeous and elegant the foiled frame finishing plus, how awesome it is to have a matching die to perfectly die-cut the sentiment out of the cardstock.
Moving on after having all sentiments done, I placed over the platform the butterfly plates from my Glimmering Butterflies Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set and I foiled them with Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Speckled Prism over white cardstock. By the way the foil roll that I’m using is the one included in this month kit. So, after the foiling on my butterflies was finished, I ran them through the die-cutting machine along with their coordinated dies, and as soon as the die-cutting process was done, I adhered them down with foam square adhesives (as shown above) to the card
Finally, I glued down here and there with liquid glue a few silver jewels to add even more shine. With that being said, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step by step on how I’ve created today’s “Thanks for Everything” butterfly card with the new; “Celebrate the Day” Glimmer Hot Foil Kit Of The Month Club by Spellbinders.
