Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a delicate trio of birthday & encouragement cards made showcasing the latest Yana's Blooming Birthday Glimmer Collection. So, without further ado, let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

Special Birthday┃Candle Background

This gorgeous collection includes a variation of large and small glimmer plates with which you can achieve fabulous and delicate foiled backgrounds, floral designs which pairs perfectly with a wide selection of sentiments. So therefore, I’d like to mention that this collection is mean to work in conjunction with Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. With that said, start by setting up your Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform and Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine on your crafting table and then, turn on the glimmer hot foil platform. Thus, while the platform is heating up, go ahead and line up the glimmer plate from Birthday Candle Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set over the right side of an A2 white card panel. Next, cut a piece larger enough to cover the glimmer plate of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass using your Quick Trimmer.

Once the platform is ready to foil, go ahead and foil the first half side of the card panel and then, repeat the same step for the second half to achieve a full foiled card panel. Next, get foiled the floral cluster from Glimmering Peony Glimmer Hot Foil Plate over a piece of smooth white cardstock using a large piece of the same foil roll and then, as soon as the foiling process is done, do a quick and delicate coloring over the flowers and leaves to add a pop of color using Copic Markers or any color media of your choice.

Once the coloring process is done, go ahead and set it off aside and get a few sentiments foiled over a white card panel using the glimmer plates from Yana's Special Sentiments Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Therefore, as soon as the foiling for the sentiments is done, use the dies including in the set to die-cut them out from the cardstock and start off the assembling for the card. As, for the assembling, go ahead and trim off the edges from the card panel a little smaller than the card base and get it mounted with craft mounting tape over an A2 top folding white card base to add dimension. Next, fussy cut the foiled cluster floral out of the cardstock using a small pair of scissors and get it mounted over the left side of the card using foam square adhesives to add extra dimension. Lastly, mount with dimensional adhesives one of the foiled sentiments and finish the card off by embellishing it by gluing down with liquid glue here and there crystal sequins to add an extra pop of shine.

Diamond Floral Frame with Stripe Background Card

For this landscaping card, start by foiling the Skinny Stripe Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate over an A2 standard size white card panel. Next, trim off the 1/8’’’ of an inch from each side of it and adhere it with double-sided tape to an A2 side folding white card base for a landscaping design.

Therefore, set the card base off to the side and get the foiling done for the diamond frame over a white card panel using the glimmer plate from Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Nevertheless, once the foiling is done, use the dies including in the same set to die-cut the diamond frame out of the cardstock. And, as soon as the die-cutting for the diamond frame is done, mount the frame right in the center of the card using extra skinny pieces of craft mounting tape to add dimension.

Lastly, embellish the card by mounting a second foiled floral cluster using once again Glimmering Peony Glimmer Hot Foil Plate or by creating your very own cluster using the small glimmer plates and dies including in Diamond Floral Frame Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Last but certainly not least, mount over the floral cluster a foiled sentiment and add some shine by gluing down here and there with liquid glue a few crystal sequins

Blooming Floral Shaker Background

Did you know that you can foil using your glimmer plates over high quality acetate? Well… if you didn’t know today, I’d like to share with you how to make this delicate Blooming Floral shaker card using Blooming Floral Background Glimmer Hot Foil Plate & Die Set. Therefore, I start by foiling twice over an A2 standard size white card panel the floral glimmer plate included in the set.

Right after that, quickly add a pop of color to the small flowers and leaves using the same color combination as the previous examples for a cohesive look. As soon as the coloring done for the flowers and leaves, go ahead and use a small pair of scissors to carefully fussy cut out the center of the card panel following the floral design. Once that step is done, go ahead and line up the fussy cut out card panel over an A2 size acetate panel and then, line up the glimmer plate sentiment included in the set right in the center of the opening area.

Once the glimmer plate is line up over the acetate, add a piece of washitape to secure it in place and then, go ahead and foiled it as you normally do whenever you use your other plates. However, because the acetate is a bit on the thinner side from the normal cardstock, I’d like to recommend adding an extra shim or an extra piece of cardstock on top of it to add extra pressure. That said, as soon as the foiling step is done over the acetate start the assembling for the card. So, to do that adhere the acetate with the foiled sentiment facing upwards with double-side tape to the backing of the foiled blooming floral card panel making but make sure the sentiment line up perfectly in the opening area. Next, add piece of craft mounting tape to the backing of the card panel to raise dimension and then, add crystal sequins as your shaker elements. Finally, to finish the card off peel off the backing of the craft mounting tape and adhere the shaker background panel to an A2 top folding white card base.
