Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid┃Inspiration Card

Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this quick and simple “Slimline” inspiration card made using Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die and Slim Stripes Die Set + Artistic Bows Die Set all by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I started by creating the slimline detailed card panel so therefore, to do that I started by lining up over a large piece of Sea Glass color cardstock the Slim Diagonal Stitched Plaid Die. Thus, after I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Therefore, once I had finished die-cutting and adding the stitching plaid detail to the card panel, I went ahead to get it adhere down with double-sided tape to a slimline white card and, then right after that, I went ahead to set it off to the side while I started the die-cutting for the focal points for the card.

So, for the focal points first, I lined up over a large piece of Gold cardstock the medium size dies from Slim Stripes Die Set and once I had them line up, I went ahead to run them thru my die-cutting machine. Therefore, once I’ve had finished die-cutting the gold stripes I went ahead to get 2 of them adhered with liquid glue over the card (as shown in the image above.)

Moving on, right after that I’ve had finished adhering the gold strips, I went ahead to line up over a large piece of Gold cardstock some of the dies from Artistic Bows Die Set and then, I went ahead to run them thru my die-cutting machine. Once, I had the die-cutting pieces done, I went ahead to assemble the Artistic Bow and I set it off to the side while I continued the die-cutting.

Thus, to finish the die-cutting off, I went ahead to die-cut a tag out of White and Sea Glass cardstock using the dies from Fillable Tag with Pocket Die Set. And I also went ahead to die-cut a leafy branch out of White cardstock using Leafy Branch Die. That said, after I had the die-cutting pieces for the tag, I went ahead to assemble it and to get a sentiment stamp and heat emboss using one of the sentiments from Merry Days Stamp Set and WOW! Metallic Gold Rich.

Lastly, after I’ve had finished stamping and heat embossing the sentiment over the tag, I’ve gone ahead to glue down with liquid glue the die-cutting leafy branch (as shown in the image above) on which I’ve had previously added sparkling snow to add extra texture. Then, to finish the card off, I went ahead to adhere with craft foam tape the tag and last but certainly not least, I went ahead to mount the artistic bow and some jewels from Essentials: Jewel Mix to add an extra touch of sparkle.
