To begin with, I started by treating a large panel from Strathmore Bristol Smooth card stock with Embossing Powder Tool. Next, I stamped 2X the wreath from the Season’s Greetings Stamp Set with WOW! Embossing Ink. Once, both wreath were stamped, I covered the stamping with Opaque Bright White Embossing and I heat set it with the Heat Embossing Gun Tool until the powder was completely melted from both images.
Soon after the white heat embossing, I ran the embossed images through the die-cut machine along with the outer and inner dies from the Season’s Greetings Die Set then, I removed the center piece from the die cutting and, I used a combination of Peachy/Pink inks to inked up the wreaths as, you can see in the picture above. The colors that I used were; Peach Fuzz and Apricot from the Indian Summer Ink Cube Pack + Passion Fruit and Coral Reef from Heartbeat Ink Cube Pack. Even though, I used the same ink combination, I decided to slightly change the look by inking up each wreath in opposite ways which, you’ll see in the picture below where both cards are side by side.
Right after the inking, I set the wreaths aside. In the meanwhile, I white heat embossed both white card panels so, I treat as usual the card panels with the embossing tool then, I stamped the Snowfall Background Stamp with embossing ink over the panels, and I white heat set them. However, I must mention that, I masked the center of one of them with one of the center die-cutting from the wreaths.
So, after both backgrounds were white embossed, I trimmed the edges of the card panels slightly smaller than, the card base and I removed the masking piece. For the card layouts, I adhered the backing of the first wreath with foam mounting tape to the card panel. Next, I gold heat embossed a sentiment included in the Season’s Greetings Stamp Set with Metallic Gold Rich Embossing Powder right in the center of the wreath as, you can see in the picture above. Then, I adhered the backing of the card panel with foam mounting tape to a top folding Kraft card base.
As, for the second card, I gold heat embossed two sentiments from the same stamp set in the inner die-cutting piece. Right afterwards, I inlaid the inside piece to the wreath and, I adhered the whole wreath with foam mounting tape to the card panel. To change the card layouts, I decided to add a string of Metallic Embroidered Thread as if the wreath was hanging from the card panel and, I adhered the backing of the card panel to a top folding Kraft base. Lastly, I white heat embossed 2X the bow included in the stamp set which, soon after the heat embossing, I ran through the die-cut machine along with its coordinated die. To finish both cards off, I adhered the first bow on one of the sides on the wreath without the gold string and, the second on top on the string as shown above. As, a finishing touch, I adhered a few Jewels Mix around the wreath and in the center of the bows for a sparkly touch. With that being said, that’s all for today friends, I hope that these Season’s Greeting cards inspire you to give them, and the “Emboss Resist” challenge a try! As always, I appreciate the time you take to read my blog posts. Below; you’ll find the supply list for the products used on today’s blog post.
