So, today I’d like to share a clean and simple-inspiration card with a “Delicate & Glimmering” look showcasing: the just-released Delicate Foliage Hot Foil and Delicate Foliage Die. This delicate set also has the coordinating Delicate Foliage Stamp and Delicate Foliage Stencil if you aren’t yet into hot foil stamping. Also, to make this card, I used Stained Glass Die and Essentials: Stitched Rectangles Die Set to add the delicate and stitched die-cutting look for the card background plus, Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate and Glitter Drops: Leaf to add an extra touch of shine. So, without further ado, let me share how I made them. ↓
Therefore, as my first step, I used the Delicate Foliage Hot Foil along with a combination of the Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform, Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine, plus pieces of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Green and white cardstock to create the hot foil stamping for the delicate foliage. Next, to keep going with the hot foil stamping, I used the Small Butterflies Hot Foil Plate to get the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of acetate. Then since I was going for a clean, simple, and glimmering-look card, I skipped the stenciling step, so instead, I proceeded to do the die-cutting step for the delicate foliage using the coordinating Delicate Foliage Die and die-cutting machine.
Moving on, to keep going with the die-cutting steps for the card background, I used white cardstock along with both stitching dies included in the Essentials: Stitched Rectangles Die Set to die-cut the stitched die=-cutting frame out of the white cardstock. Also, I used the Stained Glass Die to die-cut the delicate die-cutting card background out of white cardstock. Lastly, I used the Small Butterflies Die to die-cut the butterflies from the acetate. So, as soon as I had the die-cutting steps completed, I got the backing of the delicate die-cutting frame glued down to an A2-size top folding white card base. Next, I added craft foam strips to the backside of the stitched frame to add dimension, and then, I got the backing of it adhered to the front of the card.
Then to continue with the card assembling, I added dimension to the delicate foliage using extra die-cutting pieces, and then, I got the upper part of it tucked in the upper part of the stitched frame and some of the edges glued with liquid glue over the sides of the frame. Lastly, to add an extra shine to the delicate foliage, I got two butterflies glued to the left side (as shown in the image above.) And then, I proceeded to finish the card by adding the sentiment and extra embellishments.
As for the card’s sentiment, I used one of the sentiments included in the Delicate Foliage Stamp. Then to make the card sentiment dimensional, I used white cardstock, Magic Powder Bag, and Embossing Ink for the stamping. Next, I used Metallic Embossing Powder- Gilded and the Wow Dual Speed Heat Tool to do the heat embossing step. Lastly, I used the coordinating sentiment die included in the die set; to get the dimensional sentiment cut out from the white cardstock. And finally, to finish the card, I added dimension to the card sentiment, and then, I got the backing of it adhered to the lower right side of the card. Due to that, I skipped the layered stenciling for the foliage; I ended up having empty spaces, so to cover them up, I glued some of the Glitter Drops: Leaf not only to cover them up but to add the card even more shine.
