Happy Thursday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you a fun set of “Mini Album/Cards with Pockets” inspiration projects made with using: Happy Heart Collection by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this collection, I used Essentials: Lacey edgers 1 Die Set to add a delicate lacey edge to the inner pockets. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
Therefore, I started off by making a quick and simple card, so to do that, I went ahead to trim down a small front card panel from one of the Happy Heart: 12 x 12 Paper Pack sheets using my Paper Trimmer.
Next, I went ahead to get the backing of the card panel mounted over an A2 size dot folding white card base with craft foam adhesive to add a little bit of dimension. Once, I had the front card panel mounted over the card base, I went ahead to select some of the floral die cut shapes and more from the shapes included in Happy Heart: Floral Ephemera and Happy Heart: Ephemera Pack.
Once, I had the die cut shapes selected, I went ahead to create a floral cluster with them and then, I’ve got mounted the floral cluster over the left side of the front card panel using a combination of liquid glue and square foam adhesives to add dimension in between. Also, I’ve got mounted the two die cut shapes that I’ve got selected to use as the card sentiment and a butterfly to add even more dimension. Last but not least, to finish the card off, I went ahead to add a shiny effect to it by gluing down here and there some of the Happy Heart: Enamel Dots and little hearts from the Happy Heart: Puffy Stickers pack.
This collection includes many beautiful bits and pieces for you to create projects without spending much time on it.
Thus, for the next example, I went ahead to use one of the cute envelopes included in the Happy Heart: Journaling Bits and then, I selected a few die cut shapes from both Happy Heart: Floral Ephemera and Happy Heart: Ephemera Pack along with some of the journaling cards included in one of the patterned paper sheets.
Honestly, this a project that won’t take much time, but it’ll be so much fun to surprise a crafty friend by mailing out a cute envelope full of crafty goodness. Just like the bits and pieces that you can see in the upper right corner in the image above.
For the third example, I used another small envelope from the same Happy Heart: Journaling Bits pack however, in contrary of the previous example, I did get this embellished using some of the die cut shapes and more.
So, I went ahead to create a floral cluster using some of the die cut shapes and then, I’ve got them mounted over the right side of the envelope. Next, I used one of the Happy Heart: Wood Accent Stickers and one of the Happy Heart: Cardstock Stickers to create the “Hello, you made my day” sentiment.
Lastly, I used some of the tags included once again in Happy Heart: Journaling Bits along with some of the journaling cards and more die cut shapes to get one of the tags embellished. Besides that, I used a piece of ribbon to create a tied bow.
To make the last example, I’ve got inspired from the look of the Happy Heart: Wood Accent Stickers. So, I went ahead to use this old Embroidery Hoop Nesting Cutting Dies set from my stash that I’ve found on Amazon long ago. So, there’s a link for this set but if for some reason you aren’t able to find this specific one, I know for a fact that Altenew has the Embroidery Hoop Die Bundle and Waffle Flower Crafts has the Oval Embroidery Hoops Die set that aren’t exactly the same but quite similar to the one used on today’s post.
Having that said, I went ahead to use the dies included in the set to cut out the frame for the embroidery hoop once from Gold Foil Cardstock and a few times out of white cardstock. Next, I used the largest die included in the set to cut two large circles from white cardstock and four circles out of some of the patterned paper from the paper pack.
Moving on, after finishing cutting the circles and the frames for the embroidery hoops, I went ahead to glue down the frames over the circles and then, I’ve got embellished the front part of them using a combinations of Happy Heart: Title Ephemera, Happy Heart: Floral Ephemera, Happy Heart: Ephemera Pack, Happy Heart: Puffy Stickers, and Happy Heart: Cardstock Stickers.
As for the back side of them, I decided to add pockets, so to do that first, I went ahead to cut out some of the large circles from white cardstock using the same die. Second, I added a lacey effect to the top side of the pockets using one of the dies included in Essentials: Lacey edgers 1 Die Set. So, to finish the pockets off, I went ahead to carefully glue down the bottom part of the half circles to the embroidery hoops and then, I’ve got them all embellished using a combination of the same bits and pieces that I used to get their front side embellished.
By the way, here are some images for another mini album that I created and shared last week over Pinkfresh Studio’s blog. Click the left or right arrows to see the next and previous images, or click → HERE to go to their blog for full details for how I made it.
Finally, I added a tied bow made a of ribbon to the top side of the first embroidery hoop and then, I tied them together to get the mini album and matching card completed. And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this fun set of “Mini Album/Cards with Pockets” inspiration projects using, products by Pinkfresh Studio.
