Overlapping Leafy Wreath┃Inspiration Card

Happy Monday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this clean and simple yet, very dimensional “Merry Christmas Wreath” inspiration card made using Overlapping Leafy Wreath Layered Stencil Set and Overlapping Leafy Wreath Die along with Diamond Plaid Stencil Set from the latest December-2020 Stencil & Die Release by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓

To make this Christmas Wreath card first, I’ve started by lining up over an A2 white card panel the Stencil #2 from Diamond Plaid Stencil Set so therefore, after I’ve had them both line up I’ve gone ahead to ink up the card panel over the stencil using an ink blending brush along with Misty Coast Ink. To keep it simple with a subtle look, I’ve gone ahead to remove the Stencil #2 and then, I’ve gone ahead to place the Stencil #1 which soon after that, I’ve had them both line up, I’ve gone ahead to get card panel ink up once again using Misty Coast Ink continuing that way the subtle tone on tone look.

Thus, after I’ve had finishing the subtle ink blending over the card panel, I gone ahead to add a stitching edge to the frame so, to do that, I went ahead to line up over the inked card panel the largest die from Essentials: Stitched Rectangles Die Set which, soon after that I had them both line up, I went ahead to run them thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine.

Moving on, after I’ve had added the stitching detail to the frame, I’ve gone ahead to set it off to the side while I started the ink blending for the wreath. So therefore, for the wreath I went ahead to line up over an A2 white card panel the Stencil #1 from Overlapping Leafy Wreath Layered Stencil Set. This stencil set has 4 layers thus, after I had the first stencil line up, I went ahead to get the ink blending started using Mint Ink. Next, I went ahead to remove the first stencil and then, I went ahead to line up the Stencil #2 over the card panel which, I’ve got inked up using Meadow Ink. So, on and so forth, I continued the stencil layering ink blending Stencil #3 with Emerald City Ink and Stencil #4 with Evergreen Ink.

Lastly, after I’ve had finished the full ink blending layering for the wreath, I’ve gone ahead to line up over the wreath its coordinating die using Overlapping Leafy Wreath Die. Which, right afterwards I’ve had gone ahead to run them thru the die-cutting machine. Thus, after I’ve had finished die-cutting the wreath, I went ahead to mount it with skinny pieces of craft foam tape to the stitched ink blending card panel which, right afterwards I’ve gotten adhered with double-sided tape to an A2 top folding Kraft base.

So, to embellish the card first, I went ahead to mount a pre-made gold bow which, I’ve had previously made out gold cardstock and by using bow dies from Partial Cut Bouquet and a Bow Die Set. Second, I’ve gotten mount it over the wreath the dimensional Merry die-cutting word which, I’ve had previously created out of a few white die-cutting and gold pieces using one of die words from Phrase Builder Happy Holidays Die Set. Last but not least, I mounted a smaller sub-sentiment which, I’ve had partially stamp and gold heat embossing over a strip of white cardstock. By the way, the sentiment is part of Share Cheer Stamp & Die Set. With that being said friends, I hope you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this clean and simple yet, very dimensional “Merry Christmas Wreath” inspiration card.
