Hello Rainbows┃Inspiration Cards

Hello Rainbows┃Inspiration Cards

Happy Sunday Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you these 2 simple “Hello Rainbows” cards that, I’ve created with the awesome Color Block Rainbow Die and Simply Sentiments: Hello Stamp Set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump to the step by step on how-to-make them ↓

To begin with, I started by running through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine the Color Block Rainbow Die to die-cut the rainbow block out of 12 different pastel color cardstock and 1 time out of white cardstock. Once, I've gotten the die-cutting block done, I selected the rainbow stripes that I was going to use, and I set the rest aside. Then, I stacked all the frames up to create the dimensional frame for the shaker window.

Therefore, I used one of the negative frames from where I had die-cut the rainbow and I traced the rainbow block image over a sheet of acetate so, after the image was traced, I fussy cut it out with scissor from the acetate, and I glued it down to the backing of the white block frame. Right after, I glued down with liquid glue to an A2 top folding white card base the stacked rainbow frame, and I inlaid the color pieces. Lastly, before, I finished the shaker window set the card base aside and I got the sentiment gold heat embossed done, so for the sentiments I used the Simply Sentiments: Hello Stamp Set.

Finally, after I had the sentiments heat embossed done on the card, I added lots of Crystal Confetti to each on the rainbow block sections and I finished the card off by adhering down the white frame with the acetate.

The second example was a bonus card as, I already had the pieces on my desk.

So, what I did was to run through the die-cutting machine once again the rainbow block die to die-cut it out from white cardstock. Therefore, to keep it simple, after I had it done the die-cutting frame, I poked out the positive pieces and I glued down the white rainbow block frame with liquid glue to an A2 size top folding white card base in the exact way as I did for the first example.
NOTE: You will notice a big difference or maybe not between the card as the colors seem to be slightly different due the shadow from the walls created for the shaker window even though the colors are the same.

With that said, after I had the frame glued down to the card, I inlaid in the opposite way the rainbow pieces. By the way, instead of adhering down each of the color section for the rainbow with liquid glue, I stacked the pieces that I didn't use to create dimension. Lastly, to finish the card off, I’ve gotten the hello sentiment heat embossed over the card base, and a sub-sentiment over a piece of white cardstock which right after, I adhered down to a gold cardstock strip and I foam mounted to the card.

As a finishing touch, I glued down here and there with liquid glue Crystal Confetti to each of the cards for an extra touch of sparkle!
