Geometrical & Floral┃Pop-Up Inspiration Card

Happy Tuesday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you another geometrical and floral inspiration card made with “Pop-Up Effect” using: Art Deco Hot Foil Plate for the geometrical hot foil stamped card background. Also, I used Floral Envelope Stamp Set and Floral Envelope Die for the floral touch. By the way, all sets from the latest January-2022 Stamp, Dies, Stencil & Hot Foil Release by Pinkfresh Studio. Along with this sets, I used PFS- Inks as well to ink up the floral cluster and delicate bow. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

Therefore, same as the previous blog, I started off by getting the hot foil stamping process done, so to do that, I went ahead to line up the Art Deco Hot Foil Plate over my Glimmer Hot Foil System Platform. A platform, which I had already on and ready to foil. Having that being said, I proceeded to get the hot foil stamping done over a large piece of white cardstock using my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine along with a piece of Glimmer Hot Foil Roll - Polished Brass.

Next, right after that I had finished the hot foil stamping, I’ve gone ahead to trim down the edges from the card panel using my Comfort Paper Trimmer but making sure to keep the hot foil stamped frame for a completed card background look. By the way, I’d like to mention that this hot foil plate has its coordinating Art Deco Layering Stencils, layering stencil process which I skipped for today’s design.

Moving on, after getting the card panel trimmed down, I went ahead to get the backing of it adhered with double-side adhesive to an A2 size top folding white card base and then, I set it off to the side. Meanwhile, I went ahead to place a large piece of white cardstock inside my MISTI Stamping Tool and then, I went ahead to place over it the envelope, floral cluster, and bow stamp images including in Floral Envelope Stamp Set, to get them stamped and gold heat embossing using embossing ink and gold embossing powder. Having that said, after getting the stamping and gold heat embossing done for each image, I’ve gone ahead to use Floral Envelope Layering Stencils to ink up the floral cluster using ink blending brushes along with Marigold Ink, Mermaid Cove Ink, Tidal Pond Ink, Olive Ink, and Warm Buff Ink. Plus, Sparkling Rose Ink and Bubble Gum Ink to ink up the bow.

Thus, as soon as I’ve had finished adding the pop of color to each image, I’ve gone ahead to use their coordinating dies including in Floral Envelope Die to cut out each images from the cardstock. The envelop die creates a partially cut to insert a tiny note or the bouquet as I did for today’s example. So, I went ahead to insert the floral bouquet and then, I added the bow to the envelope as well. As, for the pop-up effect, I went ahead to trim down a smaller piece of white cardstock with the following measurements: W 5.0” x 2-1/4” inches. Next, I placed the cardstock piece over my Scoring Board to trace over the longer side five scoring lines at 1.0, 2.0, 3.0, 4.0 and 5.0 inches. Lastly, right after that I had finished adding the scoring lines, I’ve gone ahead to fold them over and then, I’ve adhered the ends one on top of the other creating that way a dimensional rectangle to use it as my pop-up effect.

Finally, to finish the card off, I went ahead to adhere the front part of the pop-up piece to the back of the envelope using strong adhesive. Next, I’ve got adhered the bottom of the pop-up piece to the card front keeping in mind the distance between the card top and bottom once the pop-up effect lays flat over it. Last but certainly not least, I’ve got the card sentiment adhered to the card as well (as shown in the image above.) And, with that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made another geometrical and floral inspiration card with “Pop-Up Effect” using products by Pinkfresh Studio.
