February 2021 - Alphas & Words Challenge┃Inspiration Card

Happy Sunday, Friends! On today’s blog, I’d like to share with you this colorful/floral non-traditional “Rainbow” inspiration card made using Simple Blossoms Stamp Set, Simple Blossoms Die Set, Color Block Rainbow Die, Leafy Branch Die and Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set along with them, I also used Inks by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made it ↓

To begin with, I would like to start by mentioning that this card is inspired by Pinkfresh Studio’s “February 2021 - Alphas and Words’’ challenge.

To begin with, I started by inking up an A2 white card panel using an ink blending brush and Aquamarine Ink. Once, I had the ink blending done over the card panel, I went ahead to line up the Color Block Rainbow Die over it and then, I ran them both thru my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine. So therefore, right after that I had finished the die-cutting, I went ahead to set it off aside while, I went ahead to get ink up a second white card panel using whatever ink that I had leftover on my ink blending brush.

Thus, as soon as I had finished the subtle ink blending over the card panel, I went ahead to line up the largest die from Essentials: Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set over it and I ran them thru the die-cutting machine to add to it the diagonal stitching detail to it.

So, once the diagonal stitching detail was added to it, I went ahead to adhere the backing of the card panel with double-sided tape over an A2 standard size top folding white card base and then, I went ahead to mount with skinny pieces of craft foam tape 5 pieces of the die-cutting ink blended rainbow (as shown in the image above)

Moving on, this month’s challenge is all about Alphas and Words so, I decided to use both Kelly Alpha Upper Case Die Set and Kelly Alpha Lower Case Die Set to create the white glittery die-cutting Hello sentiment for the card. Therefore, to do that I went ahead to die-cut each letter a few times out of white and glittery white cardstock then, I layered them over to add a bit of dimension and last but not least, I went ahead to add a piece of gold cardstock to their backing so the gold could show through them (as shown in the image above)

Lastly, to add a floral touch, I went ahead to create a floral cluster using some flowers and leaves which I had previously stamped using a combination of PFS- Inks in Coral Reef, Passion Fruit, Sweet Mustard, Marigold, Aquamarine, Mint and Olive along with Simple Blossoms Stamp Set and Simple Blossoms Die Set. Besides that, I also used Leafy Branch Die to add a bit of leafy dimension to it.

Then, to finish the card off I went ahead to glued down here and there some of the soft light blue jewels from Essentials: Jewel Mix to add a touch of sparkle. With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this colorful/floral Hello and non-traditional “Rainbow” inspiration card.
