Happy Thursday, Friends! Today, I’d like to share with you a full set of “Encouragement, Notes & Matching Envelopes” inspiration projects made using Anemone Magic Washi Tape, Anemone Magic Die and Anemone Magic Stamp Set by Pinkfresh Studio. So, without further ado let’s jump right into the step-by-step for how I made them ↓
To begin with, I started off by creating an A2 standard size card in a landscaping form so therefore, I quickly started off by unrolling the Anemone Magic Washi Tape and sticking it over a W 9-1/4’’x H 4-1/4’’ inches white cardstock panel. Once, I had that step done, I used a Rotary Cutter to cut off the large piece out of the washitape roll. And, as soon as I had that step, I went ahead to get the Anemone Magic Die line up over the panel, and once I had that step done, I’ve gone ahead to run them through my Platinum 6 Die Cutting and Embossing Machine to die cut the floral pieces out of the card panel.
Moving on, after having all die-cutting pieces done, I proceed for the card assembling so to do that, I went ahead to die-cut a white card panel using the largest die from Essentials: Stitched Rectangles Die Set which right afterwards, I’ve gotten it mounted with craft foam tape to the card base. Next, I went ahead to glue down a gold frame over the card base which Ive had previously die-cut out gold cardstock using 2 dies from the same set. Lastly, I placed the card base inside my MISTI Stamping Tool to get a sentiment from Anemone Magic Stamp Set stamped and gold heat emboss in the center f it. Once, I had that done, I finished the card off (as shown in the image above) by getting it embellished mounting with craft foam adhesives 2 small die-cut floral clusters on each corner of the card along with some translucent leaves which I’ve had also previously die-cut using the dies from Curvy Leaves Die Set.
The next example it’s a quick one layer Thank You Note Card therefore, to create this card, I quickly started off by unrolling the Anemone Magic Washi Tape and sticking it over a large piece of Freezer Paper. Next, I repeated the same steps as I did in the previous example to die-cut the floral images out of it. Thus, as soon as I had finished die-cutting the floral pieces, I went ahead to peel off the backing of the freezer paper from it and then, I’ve gotten the floral image sticking it over a stitched white card panel.
So, having that step done, I went ahead to add the die-cutting Thank You sentiment on the lower right side of the card however, to keep it as an one layer note card, I line up the Sentiment Suite: Thank You Die over the card panel and then, I ran them thru the die-cutting machine to die-cut out of it. Thus, to add a contrast, instead of inlay back into place the die-cutting sentiment, I decided to inlay a gold die-cutting thank you sentiment which I’ve had previously die-cut out of gold cardstock to compliment the gold from the washi tape. Last but not least, to cover the die-cutting from the backing of the note card, I went ahead to adhere the panel with double-sided tape over another white card panel and then, as simple as that my Thank You note card was completely finished.
A simple note card also requires a simple envelope therefore, I created this delicate double gate envelope out of translucent vellum and using a die-cutting floral piece.
Thus, to create it, I went ahead to trim off a large piece of translucent vellum to H 5-1/2’’ x W 8-1/2’’ inches. Next, I placed the vellum over my scoring board tool, and I marked a scoring line at 2-1/8’’ inches mark. Then, I turned over the translucent vellum piece leaving 4-1/4’’ inches space and I scored the last scoring line once again at 2-1/8’’ inches mark. Right after having that step done, I fold the sides over and then, I trim slightly the center off.
Lastly, to create the closure, I trim down a piece of translucent vellum to W 3-3/4’’x H 8-1/2’’ of an inch which I wrapped it around and finished by gluing down a floral cluster piece and some of the curvy translucent die-cutting leaves.
For the last example, I created a Best Wishes note card therefore, to do that I went ahead to get one of the large sentiments from Scripted Bold Sentiments 1 Stamp stamped with embossing ink and gold heat embossing right in the center of the card panel.
Next, after having the sentiment finished, I went ahead to peel off the backing of the freezer paper from 2 of the small floral clusters and then, I’ve gotten them adhered on 2 of the card panel corners.
Nevertheless, to finish the Best Wishes note card, I went ahead to trace a gold frame over it by using a gel pen in Gold color to compliment the foil from the washi tape.
As the theme of today’s post also includes matching envelopes, here are the 3 examples that I created to go with today’s card and note cards. By the way, to create the full liner for the envelope, I used freezer paper to die-cut the floral clusters to make them, as if they were stickers so, I could stick them over a thin paper sheet.
Finally, after having the full set of today’s cards and matching envelopes, I decided not to add extra embellishments first, to keep them simple and second, to let the foiling from the washi shine on its own. With that being said friends, I hope that you’ve enjoyed reading the step-by-step for how I’ve made this full set of “Encouragement, Notes & Matching Envelopes” inspiration projects.
